    Creighton women open season with split

    The Creighton women's tennis team opened the 2012 season on Saturday by splitting a pair of duals. Creighton opened the day with a 7-0 sweep of St. Thomas, then fell 7-0 against Minnesota, winning only at No. 3 doubles. Creighton next players Feb. 10 at UMKC.

    Dike quickly makes adjustment

In March, the Creighton freshman could be in the lineup when the Bluejays take on defending national champion Arizona State. "That's a big jump," coach Brent Vigness said.

    CU picked to finish fifth in Valley

    The Creighton softball team has been picked to finish fifth in the preseason Missouri Valley coaches poll. Illinois State was picked to win the league.

    Paluch paces Jays at Valley individual championship

    Billy Paluch led the way for Creighton at the Missouri Valley Conference individual championships on Friday, finishing 1-1 in pool play to advance to the semifinal round Saturday in No. 1 singles.
