Police said a teenager was caught red-handed — or in his case green-faced — in downtown Omaha early Saturday.
Officer Michael Pecha, an Omaha police spokesman, said the 19-year-old ran when he spotted police near 10th and Jackson Streets about 2:30 a.m.
When he was nabbed about a block away, police said he had green paint on his face.
Officers found a green spray paint can nearby and saw fresh graffiti on the 10th Street overpass and on a building.
The man, who lives in northwest Omaha, was ticketed on suspicion of two counts of destruction of property and application of graffiti. — Sam Womack
