"I hate it here," says one guy. "Yeah, but the cost of living," says his buddy. It's "(Stuff) People from Omaha Say" — "stuff" in the actual title being a word that rhymes with "spit" — and it's all anyone could talk about when it was released last week. There's comments on the weather, knowing famous musicians, the Omaha skyline, Chick-fil-a and plenty more.

It took 4,000 individual photos and a whole lot of coffee, but some intrepid (and dedicated) fans re-created the entire opening intro to the 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" cartoon via stop-motion animation with TMNT action figures. It's for you if you like the turtles, toys, animation, nostalgia or garage rock reworkings of TV themes. Turtle Power!

A carnivorous tropical plant that smells like rotting flesh is about to bloom, maybe this weekend, at Lauritzen Gardens. The plant, which is an unpredictable and rare bloomer, is sometimes called the Corpse Flower or the Voodoo Lily, and properly called Amorphophallus rivieri. The Gardens has four of these unusual plants, and they've been on and off display during the Wicked Plants exhibition.
