Shucks to serve brunch
By Sarah Baker Hansen
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

The new downtown Omaha location of Shucks Fish House is following in the footsteps of one of the city's former brunch favorites.

Starting this weekend, Shucks will serve brunch, just like Dixie Quicks used to in the same location. Dixie Quicks moved to Council Bluffs last fall.

The new menu will include staples from Bailey's, also owned by the Absolutely Fresh group, a popular west Omaha breakfast spot. Look for things like eggs benedict, omelets, waffles and Shucks' signature coffee cake.

Brunch runs at Shucks downtown, 1911 Leavenworth St., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant will start serving its regular menu on weekends beginning at 11 a.m.
