Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo will have another Community Free Day on Saturday, which means there will be no gate admission charges from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On Community Free Days, tickets for the Lozier IMAX Theater are $5.50 for all nonmembers. Films are "Sharks 3D," "Journey Into Amazing Caves" and "Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets."
Work opportunities on display at career fair
West Corp. and the Workforce Solutions Center are co-hosting a Career Fair on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, 2421 N. 24th St.
A representative from West Corp. will be available to discuss numerous open positions. It's recommended that attendees bring their résumés and wear appropriate attire for an interview.

UNO events mark Black History Month
A public forum on "The Beauty of Blackness" will be offered at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Food will be provided.
The forum is the first of three free events, open to the public, that will celebrate Black History Month. They all will take place in the Nebraska Room at the Milo Bail Student Center.
The second event, "Gospel Explosion: The Concert Showcase," will feature music and dance performances. An RSVP is required by Tuesday for the gospel showcase, which will be 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Contact Helen Kang at 402-554-2711 or helenkang@unomaha.edu.
The final event is "The Power of Storytelling: Hidden Truths of Changing Omaha," which features personal accounts from students and community members on how Omaha has changed over the years.
The storytelling event runs from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 22. Food will be provided.
Hastings YWCA focuses on heart
To celebrate American Heart Month, the YWCA in Hastings, Neb., will host a heart healthy luncheon Wednesday.
Guest speaker will be Jan Williams, patient care coordinator for cardiac, pulmonary rehab and heart failure at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Her topic will be "Are You a Risk Taker?"
The cost is $5 for YWCA members, $7 for nonmembers. RSVP by calling 402-462-8821.
Public invited to Chinese celebration
The Chinese Student Association at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will have a Chinese New Year celebration Sunday in the Student Union's Ponderosa Room.
The public is invited to the free 5 p.m. event, which will include food and traditional Chinese performances.
