LINCOLN — Nebraska went stone cold in the second half Sunday in falling to Minnesota 69-61 in Big Ten men's basketball.

The Huskers, who led 33-32 at halftime, missed 14 of their first 16 shots after the break and went without a field goal for 7:33.

Minnesota (17-7, 5-6) used a 16-4 splurge during the NU cold snap to go up 48-39 with 8:06 to play. Nebraska (11-11, 3-8) never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

In the first half, Nebraska used a 14-4 run to go ahead 19-11 with 9:56 left. Minnesota responded with nine straight points and went on to a 30-26 lead late in the half.

But Nebraska wing Caleb Walker had a steal, a dunk and a 3-pointer in the final 22 seconds that gave NU a 33-32 lead at half.

Nebraska got 15 points each from Toney McCray and Bo Spencer. Minnesota got 15 points off the bench from Chip Armelin.
