325 pounds of pot seized

The Associated Press

A large haul of marijuana, 325 pounds, has been seized in a single traffic stop along Interstate 80.

The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper discovered the illegal drugs in a pickup truck's tool box Wednesday.

The trooper stopped an eastbound Ford truck near Bradshaw, Neb., for failing to use a turn signal. The trooper obtained consent to search the truck and found the marijuana hidden in a false compartment in the bottom of a wooden tool box in the truck's bed.

The 29-year-old driver of the truck and his 37-year-old passenger were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking charges. Both men are from Nevada.
