Jake Randolph, a winger from Duluth (Minn.) East, has verbally committed to a hockey scholarship off from UNO, according to published reports.
The son of Duluth East coach Mike Randolph, Jake Randolph said he accepted an offer from Maverick coach Dean Blais.
"He put the offer on the table and I wanted to say 'yes' right away, but I thought I should talk to my dad first and tell him that's what I wanted to do," Randolph told the News-Tribune.
"It's a perfect fit for me; I couldn't play for a better coach than him."
Randolph, a senior captain, ranks second in Minnesota's large-school Class AA with 49 points on 26 goals and 23 assists. The Greyhounds are 17-1 and ranked No. 1.
