Six Huskers place at Cliff Keen meet

LAS VEGAS — Six Huskers, including four third-place finishers, found the awards stand Saturday at the Cliff Keen Invitational.

James Green (141 pounds), Robert Kokesh (165), Josh Ihnen (184) and Tucker Lane (heavyweight) all won their consolation finals matches, while Jake Sueflohn (141) finished in fourth place and Ridge Kiley (133) finished sixth.

Kokesh avenged an earlier loss to No. 12 Stephen Burak (Northern Colorado) in the quarterfinals to take third place as the redshirt freshman recorded four pins in the tournament to go along with a major decision. Kokesh had the most pins of any wrestler during the event.

Nebraska returns to action for its home opener against Wyoming next Saturday at NU Coliseum at 7 p.m.
