Noticed: Omaha designer Shamina Wiek opened Friday night’s fashion show with pops of neon colors splashed across dresses, coats, miniskirts and shoes. Her Pastel GROOVE House collection was inspired by the 1980s and made for young women ages 15 to 20.
Overheard: “I really like the recycled line by designer Joi Joison,” said Trisha Hunter, Sensa Fashion blogger. “I’m from California, so to see what she did with a recycled line was even more impressive.”
Tomorrow: Tiffany Headley combines an avant garde collection with a tinge of retro flair for her Donna Faye Couture line, which is named after her grandmother, also a seamstress. — Josefina Loza
