An exchange of gunfire in north Omaha has wounded two men, one critically.
Police say two men had entered a home near 38th Avenue and Grant Street before 11 a.m. today.
A neighbor said he saw the men knock on the door of the house. After the man who answered the door walked back into the house, they said, the two men walked in.
One of the men who entered the house was shot and critically injured. A resident of the home was shot in the arm.
A neighbor reported hearing one shot followed by three shots.
The critically injured man, who appeared to have been shot in the back, was conscious when he was taken away, neighbors said.
That man and the resident were taken to the Nebraska Medical Center.
Police said they were searching for another man linked to the incident.
Police had taped off a section of 38th Avenue while they continued to investigate.
Another resident of the house was taken to Central Police Headquarters for questioning.
