A nine-year-old Omaha boy was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was hit Thursday by an SUV near the intersection of 24th and Lake Streets.
Police said Michael Watson tried to cross Lake Street about 3:40 p.m. when he was struck by an eastbound Ford Explorer. The driver, Cerise Simonsen, 32, was not ticketed.
The boy was taken to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition, though authorities said his injuries were not considered life-threatening. -- Juan Perez Jr.
