LINCOLN — On a windy day, the Creighton women's soccer team showed its offensive power Sunday in a 5-0 win over Loyola of Chicago.
The Jays (2-1-1) used goals from Erin Gunther, Brittney Neumann, Rachelle Holt, Macy Mauer and Lauren Cingoranelli to put away the Ramblers in the final game of the Husker Classic.
Goalkeeper Katie Jo Swanson shut out the Ramblers for her first win of the season.
The Jays and Ramblers played scoreless soccer until the 38th minute. Gunther scored her second goal of the weekend when Emily Orbell passed a ball into the box that Gunther put in the upper right corner.
The Jays then got a goal from Neumann off a rebound of her own shot. It was her first goal of the season.
