3:05 p.m.: I didn't think I'd ever see Nebraska basketball players as smooth as these.
The last-place Huskers just played a nearly spotless first half and lead fifth-seeded Missouri 39-28 in the first round of the Big 12 men's basketball tournament.
NU, which led for only 24 seconds in the past two games, hasn't trailed today. Guard Brandon Richardson's 3-pointer on the first possession ignited 59.1 percent shooting for the half (13 of 22), including 5 of 10 on 3-pointers.
Nebraska, ahead 10-8, went on a 16-1 run to go up 26-9 with 10:02 to go.
Missouri only got closer than 10 points once the rest of the half.
